Positions Available

One-to-one Private Tutor

The responsibilities of a private tutor may vary depending on the specific needs of the student and the subject being taught. These responsibilities include the following:

  • Assessing the student's current knowledge and skill level in the subject

  • Developing a customized lesson plan based on the student's needs and learning style

  • Providing one-on-one instruction to the student

  • Monitoring the student's progress and adjusting the lesson plan as needed

  • Providing feedback and support to the student

  • Communicating with the student's parents to keep them informed of the student's progress

  • Maintaining accurate records of the student's progress

Private tutors may work in a variety of settings, including the student's home, the tutor's home, or a public location such as a library or community center or even online.

​

Expected remuneration: $30 to $50 per hour depending on subject, level and experience

​

Online Classroom Tutor

The job responsibilities of an online classroom tutor include the following:

  • Developing and implementing a curriculum for the online classroom

  • Leading virtual class discussions and activities

  • Providing small group instruction to students as needed

  • Monitoring the progress of students and providing feedback

  • Assessing and grading student assignments

  • Communicating with parents through email, chat, or other means

  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communication with students, parents, and school staff

  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and technologies

Online tutors may work part-time or full-time basis. To be an effective online classroom teacher, it is important to be comfortable with technology and have strong communication and organizational skills.

​

Expected remuneration:

  • $40 to $60 per hour (to conduct class)

  • $30 to $50 for each class preparation (with curriculum design)

  • $3,000 to $4,000 on full-time basis

Curriculum Designer

A curriculum designer is an individual who is responsible for creating and developing educational materials and programs. The curriculum designer's job is to design learning experiences that are engaging and effective.

The job responsibilities of a curriculum designer include:

​

  • Identifying the needs and goals of the educational program 

  • Researching and staying up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and educational technologies

  • Developing a curriculum plan that aligns with the goals and objectives of the program

  • Writing and editing educational materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and other resources

  • Collaborating with educators to ensure that the curriculum is aligned with the academic standards

  • Reviewing and revising the curriculum as needed to ensure its effectiveness

  • Monitoring the implementation of the curriculum to ensure that it is being followed as intended

Curriculum designers may work full-time or part-time, and may work independently. To be an effective curriculum designer, it is important to have a strong understanding of educational theory and practice, as well as excellent writing and communication skills.

Expected remuneration:

  • $600 to $800 per month (for internships or part-time working 20 hours per week)
